U4GM - 6 Dexterity-Scaling Items to Boost Your Build in Elden Ring

Dexterity builds in Elden Ring offer some of the most agile and stylish combat experiences available. Whether you favor quick slashes with katanas, devastating jumping attacks with curved swords, or stealthy ranged precision, optimizing your build around dexterity is key to maximizing damage and survivability. FromSoftware has packed the game with a range of Elden Ring Items that scale with Dexterity, and choosing the right ones can elevate your play from average to exceptional.

In this guide, I’ll walk you through six dexterity-scaling items that made a meaningful difference in my own playthroughs. These weapons, talismans, and consumables are tailored to players who love speed, precision, and punishing counterattacks. Whether you’re just starting out or refining an advanced build, these tools are worth tracking down. For players looking to enhance their gear early, sourcing cheap Elden Ring Items can also be a viable shortcut without compromising the challenge.

1. Uchigatana

Why It’s Great: A classic katana with excellent scaling in Dexterity, the Uchigatana is fast, versatile, and applies Bleed build-up rapidly. I used this weapon for the majority of my first DEX-focused run, and it carried me all the way to the midgame with little trouble. It’s compatible with many Ashes of War, letting you customize its scaling even further.

Where to Find It:

  • In Deathtouched Catacombs, located in northern Limgrave. It’s behind a skeleton-guarded door shortly after the first Site of Grace.

Personal Note: With this blade and the Bloodhound Step Ash of War, I was practically untouchable in PvP duels.

2. Bloodhound’s Fang

Why It’s Great: This curved greatsword scales with Dexterity and Strength but leans heavily into DEX for damage output. It features a unique weapon skill, Bloodhound’s Finesse, which allows for a quick backflip after slashing—a move that saved me countless times against large, slow bosses.

Where to Find It:

  • Defeat Bloodhound Knight Darriwil in the Forlorn Hound Evergaol in Limgrave. This is available early and well worth the challenge.

Personal Note: Its mix of power and agility makes it ideal for players who want dexterity without sacrificing damage per hit.

3. Radagon’s Scarseal

Why It’s Great: While not specific to Dexterity, this talisman boosts Strength slightly but synergizes well with mixed STR/DEX builds. If you're using weapons like Bloodhound’s Fang or Nagakiba with a bit of Strength scaling, the Scarseal offers a decent offensive buff early on.

Where to Find It:

  • Located in Fort Faroth, Caelid, behind a small pack of bats.

Personal Note: I used this temporarily when I was transitioning to a dual-katana build that demanded a few points in Strength to wield. The extra boost let me keep up in fights without over-investing in leveling.

4. Rotten Winged Sword Insignia

Why It’s Great: This talisman increases attack power with successive hits—perfect for fast, dexterity-based weapons that chain combos. When paired with dual-wielded rapiers or curved swords, it can ramp up your damage significantly within seconds.

Where to Find It:

  • Acquired by completing Millicent’s questline in Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree.

Personal Note: In boss fights like Malenia, where constant movement and speed are essential, this talisman turned light attacks into a deadly cascade. It paired beautifully with the Keen infusion for even higher Dexterity scaling.

5. Black Knife

Why It’s Great: A late-game dagger with high Dexterity scaling and a unique skill that reduces the enemy’s HP recovery. It's particularly effective in PvP or against bosses that heal themselves.

Where to Find It:

  • Dropped by the Black Knife Assassin who patrols the outskirts of the Ordina Liturgical Town in the Consecrated Snowfield.

Personal Note: Its speed and damage over time effect were a huge help in the Haligtree region. I used it as an offhand finisher in combination with a faster katana.

6. Dexterity-Knot Crystal Tear

Why It’s Great: This Crystal Tear temporarily boosts Dexterity when mixed in your Flask of Wondrous Physick. It’s ideal for boss fights or PvP encounters where burst damage matters most.

Where to Find It:

  • Found in a small Erdtree near Bellum Highway, northeast of the Grand Lift of Dectus.

Personal Note: I kept this tear in my flask throughout most of the late game. Against bosses like Maliketh and Godfrey, the temporary DEX spike gave me the edge I needed to push through their final phases quickly.

Dexterity builds shine when supported by the right tools. Whether you're looking for speed, bleed, or simply stylish combat, these six Elden Ring Items will boost your build’s potential and performance in every region of the Lands Between. From early-game essentials like the Uchigatana to late-game legends like the Black Knife, each item on this list offers a significant advantage—especially when paired with good movement and smart stamina management.

For those who want to cut down on farming time, acquiring cheap Elden Ring Items through trusted platforms can streamline your progression and let you focus on mastering your build.

In my experience, these DEX-scaling items not only made fights more manageable but also added a layer of enjoyment that only fast-paced, high-precision combat can offer. Equip them wisely, and may your blades always be faster than your foes.
